I think my only reason to point that out is to say that not being a Universalist I still see the fallacy of this argument. <br /><br />That being said, to my mind this argument holds no merit. If we look at Christ's death simply as our ticket out of hell (as this question seems to) it wouldn't be demeaned simply because hell wasn't eternal. The Universalist view seems to be that hell goes on for as long as it is needed.
