This isn't necessarily a challenge to your point, especially since I feel your point is more about God not controlling one person in favor of one other person. I'm just curious.Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05479657679664314889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7232534343197493118.post-56326592127273581052013-08-15T12:11:24.610-04:002013-08-15T12:11:24.610-04:00Thanks for being transparent!

Perhaps there are expectations in your mind of what prayer should be? Or perhaps you're simply referring to a lack petitionary prayer. I would then wonder what causes you not to engage in that--is it because of the ritualistic nature it has taken on in our culture? Or maybe a lack of understanding why it is even necessary? After all, if God already knows what he is going to do, then why pray for something to happen?John Daniel Hollowayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601759712135664650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7232534343197493118.post-81163623097172428992013-08-15T11:55:24.924-04:002013-08-15T11:55:24.924-04:00This is one of the most difficult spiritual discip...This is one of the most difficult spiritual disciplines for me.
Constantly wrestling with this.
I have gone months without praying, but not without reading, study,
and meditation. My reasoning is that if God really loves me, which he does, then he will bless me and help me even if my prayer life is at times nonexistent.
Juan C.
